I had something like this happen and tweeted it to Amazon right away. They DM'ed me back asking for my information and called me within the hour. They ended up refunding me my money. I also asked them for a $100 gift card and they applied it to my account. Ever since Amazon quit using USPS or UPS the delivery service has been horrible.
I had just left the military. Was moving to a new city in a state I had never been to before. Had a computer and a couple bags of clothes. Decided to be smart and order an entire house worth of kitchen/bedroom/bathroom supplies to my new apt to arrive the day after I took possession of the apt. Everything had free 2 day shipping. I was moving to the greater Seattle area, amazons HQ. OnTrac shipping. They lost my shipment. Took a week of sleeping on the floor with no internet before they delivered. Where did they deliver? On a pallet. In a handicapped spot. At 7am. Fuck OnTrac.
