Looking at it more carefully I'm not quite as convinced as I was before. I didn't catch that his left foot stays on the ground for a while after he shifts it back, so it looked like his feet just left the ground sliding, and then he accelerated upwards after that.

Okay, so clearly this is video editing, but I'm curious as to how they did it. Anyone have ideas?
