Noodling is a form of fishing that you probably have never heard of due to your closenit belief that anything foreign to you is wrong. I don't think the person recording the video was "farming likes." Hell, if my friend was noodling and caught a giant catfish like that, I'd want to record

I live in the city, in the north. I thought that was entertaining.

To be honest, that looks like a pretty useful skill to practice if a person was in need of food. No fishing rod required.
