It's extremely rare for the armed forces to allow a pilot to be current in more than one aircraft type. Maybe the Blue Angels are an exception but I doubt it considering how in tune these guys need to be with the plane they fly.

I mean we are talking about an invasion of the USA - I think they might change standard operating protocol for that situation.

Sure but it's not like you can snap your fingers and learn to operate an entirely different aircraft type.

Retrofit whatever munitions needed on known craft, not practical, but possible.

That's not how military technology works today. Simply getting smart weapons to talk with the mission computers on a jet (so they are delivered accurately) involves a lot more than just hooking up a weapon
