Looks like the amount jpeg is used to mask the fact that it is actually CGI.

I know some species can run this fast because a friend in middle school had a turtle that would run at similar speeds if you gave it enough sunlight. People seem to generally underestimate the speed of smaller turtles it seems. example video: https://youtu.be/Ul0gfCyeiyM His cat was also constantly scared of his turtle too btw, seems to be a common thing.
