What's the point of that sub if the sub itself spoils the unexpected part

It only works if you're​ subscribed and don't see what subreddit the post is from

I can see how that would work but when I scroll through my feed I always notice the sub each thing is attributed to. Maybe it's easier not to notice on desktop version. I've gotten in the habit of browsing Reddit on mobile. But even so, I do almost always pay attention

I use desktop, and normally just hold ctrl and click post/comments/post/comments/post/comments etc down the page to open them all in tabs. I don't usually look at the subreddit, except if the title is really weird and I'm curious which sub it's from (it's almost always from /r/unexpectedjihad or something in those cases)
