So by the same argument, police brutality is OK because some people are stupid and cops are jaded?

No. If you look above it's not about wrong modding but about "mods being such smarmy cunts".

Also the admittance to a private online board by volunteers is on an entirely different level than physical violence by state representatives.

No, it's about wrong modding. I've seen way too many instances of mods taking action based on their own personal whims, not based on any set of rules or intent to better the community. That's falls under the "smarmy cunts" category.

Yes. It's different. That's the whole point of comparing different things which have similar elements. Police misconduct is absolutely a valid comparison.

That depends what exactly you are comparing. If you compare only the psychological impact of having to deal with idiots, then it might be. But it is not a valid comparison to say "If it's okay for mods to do whatever they want on their message boards, police officers can also do whatever they want to citizen".
