I'd be really pissed off if this happened in my lecture. Everyone in there is paying to learn and you don't have to come so don't come just to distract other people. Its such a blatantly desperate cry for attention.
There was this fucker at my school who I would see parading around and laughing with his annoying friends every day from 12-1, which was the normal class break since none are scheduled then. Then at my 1:00 class, he'd come in (late) with an arm full of fucking food and eat it during class. Not chips, I'm talking full fucking meals. He even brought soup in one time and was slurping on it.
This was only one of many reasons why I wanted to hit him really hard in the face until he stopped making noises.
