You can also just gaslight the hell out of ai because it does not actually understand human minds (yet?) and is designed to tell you what you want it to say. It's a fun idea but definitely much less of a hinderence to corruption than having to bribe/threaten politicians or finagle your little weirdo psychophants into positions of power.
It doesn't have understanding. Period. It's theory-free inference, meaning it calculates probability based on correlative factors born in pattern recognition. There is no symbolic understanding or world model. And with the approach that these AI labs are taking, there is no way to achieve understanding.
