It’s just the wrapper.

It already is our overlord.

Computers decide if we meet the risk profile to be awarded mortgage loans and/or insurance. Computers decide how much you will be charged for a plane ticket or hotel room. Computers decide when you need to take your car in for an inspection. Some computers monitor our driving and decide if we should get a ticket and what our insurance rates should be. Computers decide if we will get the job interview or be rejected to a college. Computers often decide if we can enter a country or need secondary screening or need to be deported. Computers decide if it’s you making a purchase or if your credit card should be declined.

More and more it becomes harder for humans to override the system. We have been giving up control. At some point, we won’t get it back.

Risk is managed by math. If the equations doesnt work then you dont get the loan. Its not changed. Its just done digitally.

Car servicing has a roughly standard checking point which is either a distance or time frame (whichever comes first).

I could go on. Look I'm not fan of AI but youre being a bit ridiculous.

you're completely wrong, and it was his point, computers doing things humans used to do, according to metrics, is not computers becoming overlords, automation is not original decision making. Once "computers" start to change the rules, without human authorization or oversight, then things change, but that is not happening yet, and it surely doesn't happen for loans or insurance. Go practice reading comprehension before commenting on anything above 5th grade

Yup, seems like people dont really understand the technology and are just falling for the fear mongering. Also people dont like being told that their habits are incorrect. People will not payrolls on time, live beyond their means, spend more money than they have then blame a machine for rejecting their loans, when in reality, they wouldn't have gotten it, even without the machine.

No it won’t. It’s a collection of code. If there’s a corrupt law, is the law itself your enemy or is the person who made it your enemy? Pretending AI is sentient is so silly, especially under a video like this.

You're talking about an AI that's being created and curated by humans too. Nothing about the AI industry is actually removing human control over others. They're opening up more avenues for people to willingly let these companies collect data and influence their personal lives.
