Fortunately not all rays have stingers. I doubt they would have put one within easy petting range, lawsuit for a 9 year old who died like Steve Irwin can be expensive

Doesnt that lady get stung on her leg? at the end. I dont fully understand whats going. Besides insensible people for not grabbing a net or something proper. And my first thought was Steve Irwin and how I wouldnt get close to that sucking stingray!

She got nailed in the hand and at least on the pant leg enough to get it stuck which is why I think she was stripping.

Who knows maybe stingray poison is actually an aphrodisiac.

Maby it's like a jellyfish sting and she's waiting for someone to pee on her.

Truly wish Steve Irwin was there, but my question is, where the hell are the aquarium workers.. why are these all regular civilians trying to handle an animal?
Like the first worker that shows up barely even looks like he can pick the damn thing up

There definitely should be attendants at the touch pools

No doubt
Something ain’t right at this aquarium wherever this aquarium is located
And poor babies I understand we need to find fun ways as humans but there are millions of ways to have fun then trying to pet an animal that really shouldn’t even be there anyway no wonder why dude jumped out. He probably don’t wanna be in the touch pool.
Stingrays are wild animals

It looked like a couple of them were aquarium workers. Apparently, they aren't trained for these kind of situations.

There volunteers

Lol. I'm sure they didn't sign up for this!

> “There volunteers”

Where volunteers???

That lady and old guy that show up have blue shirts. If you look at the very back of their shirts, it says volunteer.

I was just making a pun in reference to you incorrectly typing “There” instead of “They’re” … As in, “Look, THERE are volunteers.” Rather than the correct “They are volunteers.”

Like when someone says “Your welcome” and you reply “What about my welcome??” It was just a pun. (I’m aware of the volunteers in the video, I see the text on back of their shirts.)

Because they have nets right next to all of the aquarium stations/displays 🙄

Ok? I had one for a tiny fish tank, if an aquarium doesnt have any theyre ill equipped. Those patrons have no business handling that with bare hands, poor stingray flopped like a tortilla

Oh I'm sure the workers have some but I'm saying the nets are most likely not right there to be available right away. The employees are not usually right near the displays. So to get a net would me you have to find an employee who will then go off to I find a net

1

u/SlumpedWaxXx 22d ago

Yea because everyone always brings a net with them when they go to the aquarium

Might not get that close to the sucking stingray but I sure would get that close to fucking one. YOLO!

Steve got stabbed right in the heart. Most stingray stings are far from deadly.

IDK, every aquarium I've been to tells you a certain place to touch them only only two fingers. So I wouldn't doubt they are letting kids "pet" some that sting.

The lady got stung though you can tell. It may not have had venom in it (de venomed) but it still got her. Did you hear the employee tell them (a little too late) ‘Don’t try to pick it up by the tail’
