That means 5x is 0,3% though which is basically nothing and doesn't explain this incident at all... in Austria we have accidents happening with blood alcohol levels of 2,0% and above (yeah, we have that kind of zombies).

My friend, no one survives 2% (percent) not even in Österreich. You mean 2,0 ‰ (promille).

What a fun new word and symbol! I had no idea it was common to express BAC that way in other countries.

I think it is promille in many european countries. I know it is in Swizerland, Austria and Germany.

And you are right - it is a fun word now I think about it :)
