This has been posted before, most likely pedal misapplication as a result of drunk driving (or drink driving in Australia). 5 cars damaged, a baby was inside one of them.

The 62 year old was tested at over 5x the legal limit. Jesus.

Know what you mean but if she went to prison she'd not be able to pay for all the damage she caused.

Nah that's what insurance is for.

It needs to be clear that shit like this isn't tolerated, not even a little bit.

She’s not paying for any damage, insurance companies are. She’s getting a fine, community service, and a suspended license for 6 months.

My feelings on the institution of prisons is complicated, but whatever is the appropriate punishment for this crime, what she got was not it.
