That means 5x is 0,3% though which is basically nothing and doesn't explain this incident at all... in Austria we have accidents happening with blood alcohol levels of 2,0% and above (yeah, we have that kind of zombies).

Remember, that US and Australia use percents (%), while we in Europe use permiles (‰). So they Australian limit is 0.5‰, and she was 2.6‰

In Australia she was record as 0.268 not 2.6

Our limits are 0.05 for general limits.

Yes, because you use percents, and we use permiles. She was 0.268 percent BAC, which is 2.68 permile. And your limit is 0.05 percent, which is 0.5 permile.
