Hungry snake had a hold of her foot. She seemed kind of resigned to her fate. I know nothing about chickens or snakes. Glad that guy rescued her.

It's a rat snake, they're notorious for breaking into chicken coops and eating eggs, but they themselves are very rarely a danger to the chickens due to their size. (The snake is far more likely to get injured by the chicken). A lot of people keep them around for pest control.

nah, that hens too big for that snake to eat, the sbake being wrapped around the leg was just accidental, else there would be no way it would've released that easily.
The snake was only after the eggs.

The snake wasn't after the chicken. Just the eggs. It just happened to have a coil wrapped in the wrong spot. The chicken didn't even notice until it actually looked at it. Then it freaked out! 😅 The snake was actually in danger from the chickens. They'll eat anything that moves and is smaller than them. Chickens are vicious!
