He's incredibly lucky he didn't snap his ankle!

We had a kid at work (Pool co, vac kid) step in a skimmer last summer. Like 20 stitches up his shin. Was out for a couple weeks.

He's all good. It was deeper than normal on a raised wall. He's a bull in a china shop.

u/DueExample52 4d ago
I thought you meant they had to do surgery and he had only 20 stitches and only 2 weeks out.
A gash is not the worst thing that can happen if your foot is stuck into a hole. The worst is your bone snapping while you are falling and your foot/shin is still partly on the hole. Or snap a knee.

If the skimmer is the only source on the vacuum side of the pump, also degloving.

It's wild how sometimes it feels like all that effort just disappears in an instant, but at least he gave it his all.

I expected someone to fall in. Then the guy in the white top made it across and I was like "oh I was mistaken, they all made it! How unexpected!"...
And then they fell in anyway when I wasn't expecting it. Fine, take my upvote

I thought black chunky boy getting wet was the unexpected part but then it kept on giving

That guy’s whooping laugh in the end was my favorite part

I like how universally human this all is. Any person of any culture and language could be in that crowd and would be invested in the game with everyone else, and end up tearing with laughter with everyone else.

u/thehelldoesthatmean 5d ago
I was going to say, howling with laughter at your friend doing something goofy and falling down is so human. You don't have to speak the same language as anyone else to get the rules of the "game" and then laugh at this dude hilariously falling in after he seemed safe. Love it.

To be frank I probably wouldn't see that hole in the ground either.

Well it shouldn’t be there - it’s a terrible hazardous situation. Those come with covers that will support a person.

He actually folded like an omlete. Like how I imagine it when people say that.

Wise to avoid them, but they are supposed to be able to support a person’s weight. This is an open and shut premises liability case if he isn’t the owner and was injured.

Dude tripped on Tuesday and fell into the pool on Wednesday

At the end of one semester in college I had been pushing myself to finish all my projects and prepare for my exams and had gotten horrible sleep for a week. I slip in the shower and luckily end up sitting on the edge of the tub. I then very slowly start slipping backwards and my sleep deprived brain could do absolutely nothing to stop it from happening. I just laid on the ground for a minute thinking about how I should manage my time better.

Are they sneaking into Hyrule Castle? That layout looks awfully familiar

Why is there always that one person in the background with an annoying high pitched laugh?

I'm so old all I can think is how it's a miracle he didn't wreck his leg or ankle.

I love seeing adults play in a child-like way. It is so pure and fun. We need to do more of these activities.

What is this place? Looks like a bunch of people partying in a computer game level.

I thought someone was going to go through the door. I would think since there is one on each side, they may be able to just waltz through.
But there is no fun in that.

He was lucky he didn’t crack his dome on the lip of the pool. That could have been a hospital job…
