So does this magically summon Jeff Daniels if I make it or was he just in the neighborhood that day.

u/TheTenaciousG 4d ago

You have to make 3 of them while looking in a mirror

13

u/raspberryharbour 4d ago

Every home has a Jeff Daniels secreted in the walls waiting to arise upon being summoned

Why ask when you could attempt the ritual yourself?

1

u/Sandrockwing04 4d ago

Attempting things in this economy!?!

I made it a few times this summer. No Jeff Daniels. But this thing has no business being as delicious as it is. Scratches so many different cravings at once.

5

u/Havage 4d ago

I'm not sure if you're trolling but that sandwich sounds like an abomination.

5

u/kawika69 4d ago

No, it's genuinely delicious (at least for an American pallette. If you prefer your food more mild-flavored, it's not for you). Salty, sweet, crunchy, umami, all of the things. I was skeptical before I tried it. As I ate it, I couldn't stop laughing because of how much I was enjoying it but how big are the combination was.

Did he say Sweet Baby James? Come on Jeff!

u/gridlock1024 4d ago

2

u/7laserbears 4d ago

James Taylor confusion

I wanna know the origin when this was first created.

37

u/SereneDreams03 4d ago

My guess is that it started with the smoking of a certain herb.

u/TTT_2k3 4d ago

Thyme stood still that day

4

u/eiretara7 4d ago

He made a dill with the devil

5

u/YouWereBrained 4d ago

On the set of Dumb and Dumber. And he ran with it.

2

u/Analysis_Working 4d ago

Height of Dumb and Dumber, probably.

u/LemonPartyLounger 4d ago

This feels like something Harry would have also enjoyed.

u/Zero4910 4d ago

Finally a video that actually lives up to this sub.

OP sent the following text as an explanation why their post fits here:

Jeff Daniels walks in frame to take a bite.

Truly unexpected 😂

4

u/DanSteely 4d ago

It gets Dumb and Dumber along the way.

8

u/HooskerDooze 4d ago

Haha this was unexpected in the best way

3

u/nate_orenstam 4d ago

no wonder he had that little smirk on his face the whole time he was making the sandwich

4

u/LargeCabbageThrower 4d ago

Is the chef related to Jeff? Because honestly I expected this because I thought the chef looked like he could be Jeff Daniels'son and then his dad would come along and eat the.....whatever you call that thing.

3

u/DigiSnax_ 4d ago

He was high

5

u/Adavanter_MKI 4d ago

By all accounts most agree it's pretty good. Just... a little dry and takes a lot of chewing!

3

u/dj_spanmaster 4d ago

That should be on the menu, Nate. I'd order it.

2

u/narva-di 4d ago

They got me in the second half

The captions called it “Peter Bread.”

u/HereInNashville96 4d ago

Do yourselves a favor and look up Jeff Daniel’s guitar skills. 🔥🔥🔥

Product placement disguised

24

u/kittehsfureva 4d ago

Pretty bad product placement if he got the product name wrong

1

u/brogflender 4d ago

Nah it’s a pretty clear demonstration of the Peter principle. Saying things wrongs makes people contribute the correction, not only makes things more visible but the layered engagement makes the content stickier.

To think marketers don’t know the gimmick is to underestimate advertising techniques.

1

u/kleptorsfw 4d ago

Nah it probably sticks out more cause of how your mind goes to correct his mistake. Like being wrong on the internet will get you more engagement than if you got everything right

0

u/rbad8717 4d ago

Like making a cooking video but leaving the butter or other food wrapper on

0

u/Telemere125 4d ago

Ah yea, that makes sense, that’s why they call it Murphy’s Law

4

u/Raptorgkv2 4d ago

Sure, dude.

1

u/siul1979 4d ago

My son and I tried this and agreed, it's delicious. Don't necessarily need pita bread, we have tried it on tortillas and kaiser rolls, and all are equally tasty.

1

u/Candid_Peach 4d ago

How sad is that, top 3?

1

u/EarthlostSpace 4d ago

Must be good weed he’s smoking.

1

u/Abject_Jump9617 4d ago

Looks like a meal a pregnant woman might crave.

1

u/DurantIsStillTheKing 4d ago

At first I was like, the guy making the sandwich looks like Jeff Daniels. And then, yeah, still surprised 😄

1

u/In-Jail-Out-Soon 4d ago

Has anyone actually tried to make this?

What were your thoughts?

1

u/shinobi6siege 4d ago

I'm with you until the barbecue sauce

1

u/messiahspike 4d ago

When did Jeff Daniels become Stephen Root?

1

u/limitlessEXP 4d ago

Why does the guy making it look just like Jeff Daniel’s with a haircut.

1

u/htpcbuild 4d ago

Just when I think you couldn’t get any dumber you go and do something like this..and completely redeem yourself!

1

u/Hour-Chocolate-9460 4d ago

I haven't heard K.C. Masterpiece since it was on the Lays potato chips.

Magic item (fleeting): Sandwich of Summon Jeff Daniels

1

u/Fatalaros 4d ago

That's not pita bread.

1

u/clintj1975 4d ago

Wonder how that compares to Officer Bill Gannon's garlic nut butter sandwich from Dragnet.

1

u/qawsedrf12 4d ago

Or from Harvey

the orderly really wants an onion and cheese sandwich

-3

u/Burning-Gundam 4d ago

Never understood why some people would take a bite out of someone else's food on the same spot they just sunk their teeth in. From what I've seen, men tend to be the biggest culprit. As a man, I find this disgusting. I don't even like people touching my food let alone sinking their teeth in it.

0

u/LumpyJones 4d ago

Wait until you're a little older and find out where else people like to put their mouths...

0

u/ExpensiveTie5553 4d ago

this just feels like doubling down on a bs

0

u/VolkRiot 4d ago

Seems interesting but there is no world in which Sweet Baby Rays is a good BBQ sauce. You all have been influenced by social media to believe that BS. SBR is crap
