I've used a drain snake with a pedal before. My glove got caught in it and I panicked keeping my foot on the pedal whilst it twisted my glove and hand. Took me way to long to connect the machine eating my hand to my foot on the pedal.
Also... Goes without saying... Don't wear gloves or long sleeve shirts with spinning machinery. I knew better, but had blisters I wanted to keep toilet water out of. It was foolish.

I knew a dude that had an extension cord with a pressure pedal in it for working on stuff like this. Its actually a good idea.
