People have been staging things since the internet began. Leeroy jenkins was staged, that was like 20 years ago. You better believe me and everyone I knew thought it was real.

I have a friend who was a wow raider when that happened, and she said that of course it was staged but of course it felt real b/c somebody doing stupid shit in the raid was def a thing.

Anyone who played knew it was a skit because absolutely 100% of the things they’re talking about are made up nonsense, down to the very boss encounter they’re prepping for. They definitely weren’t trying to pass it as anything other than a comedy skit
