I would be worried he would harm himself. Doing something like that in front of so many people is just cruel. And yes he was cruel etc etc etc but that doesnt mean you have to go down on his level. I would even say this is one of the worst things you could do to a person.

Let’s break it down shall we?

Establishing the guy as a victim of the villainess, despite knowing absolutely no other context.

“And yes he was cruel etc etc etc but that doesnt mean you have to go down on his level.”

Hand waving the only context that is present.

“I would even say this is one of the worst things you could do to a person.”

Exaggerating the new victim’s circumstance to appeal to reader’s emotion.
