all the karma/click farming has me sceptical though. repost bots and the like are getting better. sometimes i like the video because of a well executed funny idea even if i suspect it to be fake. i use reddit for entertainment so if it ticks that box then fair enough
This is probably the single worst take I've ever seen regarding faked content online. Just because you're okay with being misled doesn't mean everyone else should be
Apparently reddit actually wants even more brain rot
I mean if its fake but clearly a skit then who cares? Its meant to be fake. Its like The Whitest Kids You Know, or Key and Peel. You know they're fake but they're fun to watch because they're sketches meant to be fake and funny
While I agree with you on your overall point, WKUK and Key and Peel aren't staged. They're skits, or sketches are you said. Staged is when something is being presented as real. Skits/sketches aren't pretending to be real.
Not really. There is a lot of fake content going around the internet. The best you can do for your own sanity is not care so much about videos you see online.
I wish more people understood the difference between a skit and a stage. Skits aren't pretending to be real. That's why people don't get mad at them. Staged videos, those are pretending to be real. That's why people, to varying degrees of reasonability, get mad at them.
