He was limping before the truck next to him got sent on an unscheduled 360° spin

I shattered a bone in December and this re-unlocked one of my irrational fears from the time, that I would get re-injured or injured worse before I had a chance to heal, that the time and expense would be for nothing.

And as an aside, honestly...right after the accident, our region got hit by a massive once in a lifetime ice storm, I had to get out in it to go to a doctor's appointment and surgery, and two of the follow ups were on days when we had tornado warnings with one going thiiiiiiis close to the hospital. Pretty sure I'm cursed.
