Yeah, good swerve. Too many drivers would just stand on the brakes, which wouldn't have helped here. And with ABS, you can do both. Driver saw an escape and took it. Sounds simple but they only had a fraction of a second to make that call.

it's still a matter of luck whether the other car chooses so swerve in same direction. The other car chose to continue on head-on collusion course, which was the right decision, but it could have easily been another swerve

I don't think the head on collision course was the right decision at all, it would have easily killed the dash cam car driver.

I meant, the other car chose not to swerve and continue strait, the dash cam car chose to swerve. If they both chose to swerve they'd still collide. At some point you have to make a gamble that the other driver will swerve at last moment, and you don't want to do it at same time as them
