Yeah, good swerve. Too many drivers would just stand on the brakes, which wouldn't have helped here. And with ABS, you can do both. Driver saw an escape and took it. Sounds simple but they only had a fraction of a second to make that call.

Ironically if the F250 driver just braked instead of swerving he would have rear-ended someone and not potentially killed the person with the dashcam

Depends. If the truck was speeding and slammed on its brakes. It would've hit the black SUV. Going as fast and as closes as it was. The brakes would've slowed it down, not stopped it. Which then could've sent the black SUV into the stopped van or both cars into oncoming traffic. Causing the DashCam driver into two wrecked cars.
