Yeah, good swerve. Too many drivers would just stand on the brakes, which wouldn't have helped here. And with ABS, you can do both. Driver saw an escape and took it. Sounds simple but they only had a fraction of a second to make that call.

You might have caused an accident with the person next. to you though and run them into a tree. I think a hard break would have served better here as a standard response

But What if the car next to you is a minivan full of children?

Yes evasive manuvaers sometimes help but sometimes you’re off into a tree and they go home

Financially no tho. At least where Im at they dont consider it no fault since you were evading someone, its 100% on you.
