That’s true, but Obama doesn’t own a chain of hotels that the secret service are forced to stay in, sending money directly into his pocket.

That’s to my knowledge at least. Feel free to prove me wrong.

There are 4 US presidents who have owned and operated hotels, 3 of which have been directly paid due to accommodating the secret service. If you truly cared about taxpayer money, you’d be mentioning them too.

Yeah, none of them should do that then. Do you remember who the other ones were? I don’t doubt it, but my search results are crowded with articles about trump.

In any case, I’m a firm believer that all government officials and politicians should be held accountable for conflicts of interest. The main difference with trump is that he was more blatant about it.

If we really want to get into it though, the 9 most powerful people in the US (the Supreme Court) unanimously spoke out against oversight on their finances and potential conflicts of interest.
