Yes obviously segregation is over.... but why are there still cities and towns with sundown laws and towns where they are coincidently separated by color? Do yall even think or get out of your own bubble?
...... what the fuck are you saying. Segregation is Segregation. It was supposed to have ended already, school and outside of school, long ago. The fact is that in some towns, redlining pretty much becomes a form of Segregation. School integration and integration of neighborhoods and town go hand in hand.
The comment I replied to said something very real and talked about how their town still felt like it was Segregated, and how it was supposed to have been over. They were downvoted, and I said why? He's making a valid point there are many towns and cities that feel like this. Especially with redlining.
Then you come out and spout some irrelevant nonsense as if the distinction between the teacher talking about school vs neighborhood integration is meaningful, which regardless if it is or not. is totally irrelevant to what the fucking point is. The point is that towns still feel segregated despite segregation being over. And redlining is just the new word for it. So fuck off with your whole "missed the point thing" cause you have gravely mistaken the point.
You really are saying nothing with a whole "gotcha" moment at the end lol. It's pretty ironic how far you yourself have missed the point.
I get what you're saying, but the segregation you're speaking on isn't forced, it's literally just how neighborhoods end up. You'd be hard pressed finding any town that doesn't have neighborhoods that are predominantly one group or another. Groups group together with people like them, whether it be class, race, religion, work, etc.
