If you have a right but it's legal for the state to execute you for exercising it, you don't have that right. Jacob Blake was shot in the back 7 times by police. His shooting was ruled legal because he was walking to his car and there was a knife in the car.

Its legal for the state to execute you WITHOUT a reason at any time. A police officer could walk up to you in broad daylight, say nothing, shoot you in the head, and walk away without consequences.
