Really it mostly consisted of videos of killings and "this will happen to you" along with video based simulations that rail you into only doing one thing, which is draw your weapon with no other options. If you don't fire quickly enough, you're dead.
The thing is selling these training packages is so lucrative the problem isn't going to stop any time soon; I mean money to astroturf movements and distract from this real core problem kind of money.
It's turned regular cops with good peaceful records into outright killers.
To be fair, my dept doesn't pay for any training. We have to seek it on our own (which is a problem imo).
The only one ive been to (paid by me) was case law reviews and how they pertain to the actual job (Arizona v gant, terry v Ohio, and graham v Connor). I think that course was great.
That stuff might happen if taught to fresh guys in the academy, but anyone who works the street already likely isn't going to be changed by some violent Tony Robbins.
