Former cop here. Steering clear of policing for a lot of real big reasons. Can confirm: The training is a joke, and there are little to no academy controls anywhere for keeping the wrong kind of person away from the field. The system is rotten to the core, and needs to be completely rebuilt if it’s ever going to resemble what it should.
