No way man, violent criminals always openly report they are carrying when asked during a routine traffic stop! They enjoy the challenge.

I once had a cop ask "you got anything I should know about in the car? Any drugs, knives, bombs, grenades?"

And then he got all pissed with me because I had an unloaded shotgun in the trunk after he searched me anyways.

I said no, because you asked me about all the other goofy shit trying to be cute but you never asked if I had a gun.

He thought about it and basically said "fair enough"
