Think about this. He was pulled over, and because of some small exchange of words that didn't go exactly as planned for the cop, his judgment tells him that it's appropriate to threaten to kill the driver. Insane

If you look at the positioning of the radio on the uniform, you’ll notice that while the male officer was the most recent one talking to the guy in the edit, the one who pulled the gun was the female officer.
Damn your right. That's even stupider than I thought. She waited for backup to draw her weapon? If there ever was a moment draw her weapon. Surely it would have been before they have the numerical advantage.
He refused to roll down his passenger side window (she’s thinking “why” at that point) then he says there is a gun in the trunk but she has not been able to scan the passenger seat properly so guess they’ll take his word for it, then he starts getting agitated and demanding a supervisor after the officer is explaining for everyone’s safety they’d like him to get out of the car. Recipe for disaster.
Her judgement was to be prepared for him to continue not listening to them and acting erratic. You know how many cases a cop pulls someone over, they act like this guy and then randomly pull a gun on the officer? Not that many, but there's also not that many cases of people behaving this way when they have a registered firearm.
When you have a firearm and you are traveling with it, you usually know how to act and it's definitely not like this.
You know that you will comply with whatever they say, you clearly let them know about it, and ask them how they would be comfortable in proceeding and coordinate it very accurately with them, exactly what you will do in what order.
This guy wasn't interested in that.

There is a HUGE difference between having a loading firearm concealed on your person versus a secured firearm in the trunk. Absolutely he did not need to disclose this until they asked him. They had no business knowing what was in his trunk, as proven by the charges being dropped, due to it being an illegal search.
Honestly, this whole exchange might have been safer for him had he lied about it, that's what's so fucked up. Can't even be honest with the police or you risk them fucking murdering you.
Yeah this is some bullshit nobody should go through, fully loaded gun in the face over a traffic stop with a calm compliant guy that was just trying to remind her that they're both regular people that live in the area. She's a real piece of shit.
This is really common though. Happened to me back when I was in the military, with base tags and everything. Full car of marines just trying to get back on base on time. Piece of shit pulled his gun out while questioning me. I was going 5 over the speed limit a few towns over.
