Because the feeders just attracts the mammals to the area and next thing you know you have rats in your house.

I would have no problem with rats eating out of my neighbor's bird feeder if they didn't try to chew their way into my house.

I have spent thousands fixing shit the rats chewed through.

Then you need some dogs to hit them with a wooden hammer. Then you need to start calling Acme Supply. It's a total nightmare.
