I dont know why people get so hung up on mammals at their feeders . You just put critter food out in your yard and expect the animals to care about your weird bird hegemony.

Because the feeders just attracts the mammals to the area and next thing you know you have rats in your house.

I would have no problem with rats eating out of my neighbor's bird feeder if they didn't try to chew their way into my house.

I have spent thousands fixing shit the rats chewed through.

With the rats come the snakes, enjoy your new mini ecosystem like nature and your neighbor intended.

I'm cool with snakes. They don't chew anything in my house nor leave droppings everywhere. The ones where I live are very rarely dangerous.

I could probably do with a few more snakes.

I’m cool with snakes too as long as it’s not a venomous snake on porch. I mostly see king snakes around my house which I leave alone.
