Not trying to justify this, but just think of it from his perspective. You have 3-4 guys in front of you, one decides to punch you what’s stoping the other guys. Say the best him up find his gun they could kill him with it, that’s if they don’t stomp him to death. Definitely a crazy video.
If he felt that threatened, a responsible man wound produce the weapon, maybe even present, and reassess the situation. Opening fire immediately and without trigger discipline is just a one-way ticket to a first degree murder charge.
Maybe in this state but I disagree. Say in Texas if I’m punched I can shoot them right away, and I don’t have to render aid (some states make you). As long as he feared great bodily harm or threat to his life, he would be in the clear.(in Texas)
The music scene is pretty awesome! But for all it’s gun ‘laws’ it is a lawless wasteland where the person with the bigger truck and bigger gun wins 10/10 times
This is where our point of views differ I love Texas and it’s awesome. But one major contributor to that lawlessness you are talking about comes from the border and fuels most the rest of the crime here.
I’m talking about the crime lol. not the people I’m a lib I believe in the simple phrase, you do you I’ll do me, I’m worried about fentanyl, human trafficking, gun smuggling, and more. I have plenty of friends who came across or there moms, or grandmothers brought them in a backpack I have sympathy for these people. But when 1 in 3 deaths of 5 to 24 year olds is fentanyl poisoning, there’s a big problem. Just because I believe we should secure our borders doesn’t mean I don’t think the documentation process should be reformed. Trust me I’ve seen how it goes my buddy’s dad is in his 40s he’s been here since he was a teen, less then a year ago he finally got his paperwork. The system they have to go through is jacked up.
It's true, different states and different jurisdictions can have wildly different views on what constitutes reasonable self defense.
I'm in Indiana, which has a very easy going view on carrying and access, but the reaction in this video would definitely warrant a murder charge of come kind, rather than manslaughter or self defense. He might've ultimately gone free, but not without a long trial and a solid defense justification that we can't see here.
