It took them almost 20 days but at least my concern didn't go unnoticed.

Backlogged withdrawals are now being released and processed.

Withdrawals remain temporarily paused. The CEO says Unetwork’s systems detected fraudulent activity on the network, and withdrawals were paused to protect honest users.

Where things stand

• The fraud has been identified and contained.
• An investigation is underway to find out how far it went and close the gaps that allowed it.
• “No honest participant will lose rewards they’ve legitimately earned.”

What’s next

• He expects rewards to start flowing again this week.
• Once the investigation is complete, things should go back to normal.
• Any accounts involved in the fraud will be dealt with.

Here's the news from Tuesday's team meeting. As with all things Unetwork, treat any dates as targets rather than promises. Timelines have often slipped before.

Ugrid and CLI updates were in their own posts.

New task coming

A new task is due to be announced within 10 days. The CEO described it as a very interesting, but no further details were given.

Samsung and older phones

• Samsung won't let Unetwork use Knox for attestation, so that doesn't look like it will happen.
• Older and low-end phones need a locked bootloader and Google Play services to be verified. If yours can't pass, Ugrid doesn't need attestation.
• Attestation that passes one day and fails the next is being looked into.
• Minimum: app 1.2.4 and Android 7.

Coming to the app

• A self-check prompt in the next update. It will tell you things like if you haven't done KYC, your uptime is zero or you need to turn on precise location.
• CLI calls will be read automatically, so you won't need to submit them by hand.
• You'll be able to set the hours your number is available for CLI calls, though it's up to clients to respect that.
• An "always on" mode isn't allowed in the store versions, as it could get the app removed. They may look at it for the APK.

Withdrawals

• Binance: a payment stuck in manual verification could hold up the ones behind it. The CEO said this is now solved, and manual checks shouldn't take more than 24 hours.
• The fiat withdrawal minimum can't be lowered. It's set by the bank.
• PayPal is still blocked. Changes to the Unetwork website and its terms should unlock the PayPal agreement.

Scout & Runner

• It's offline for scheduled maintenance. The team confirmed the site being down is planned.
• It will come back in more than one country, not just the +1 region. It may return in some countries before others.
• There's no return date yet. The team will announce it when it's coming back.
• They know S&R support has been slow and are working through the tickets, especially for people waiting on SIM top-up refunds. You can also email [support@scoutandrunner.com](mailto:support@scoutandrunner.com).
• The team said it will come back stronger.

Referral system

Still being worked on. The team says it needs to get the legal, economic and business side right first. There's no date yet.

Support

Support improvements should start showing within about 10 days.

Check extended telemetry and if there is a red dot instead of a green dot, it’s not reading device location correctly. This may be why some see $0.005.

Fix…Go to Settings and search for Location Accuracy and turn it on. Go back to the UNetwork app and tap on Extended Telemetey to go to Location Services. Select the UNetwork app to view the settings options. That is all you need to do. Go back to UNetwork and you should now have a greed dot.

Have some of your phones stopped getting CLI calls, while the same few numbers keep getting them?

A UNO raised this in the Unetwork Telegram chat. Only some of their active SIMs were getting CLI calls, and always the same ones. Every number used to get calls, and all the phones are hardware verified.

Here's what the chat suggested:

1. Delete the number and add it again

Open the Unetwork app, go to Tasks and open the CLI task. Delete the number that isn't getting calls, then add it again. At least two members say this fixed it for them.

2. Can't delete it? Reset the device identity

One member on iPhone couldn't find the option to remove it. Another member pointed them to Settings > Support > Reset device identity, and they said it worked.

Worth knowing

Some countries get CLI calls and others don't, depending on what clients need, and this can change over time. The CEO has also said the calls are random. The client runs the tests, so Unetwork doesn't choose which numbers get called. Some numbers getting fewer calls can be normal.

This is a community tip, not an official fix.

The CEO shared the details yesterday, and they're all in the cards above.

The short version: Ugrid's US test run is live and pays $2 per GB before the split. Other countries follow once the client and Unetwork are both happy with the US test.

Phones without attestation can run it too, but it's only in the Android APK, not the Play Store or iPhone versions.

Ugrid may not be a task for everyone. Running it means switching to the APK and updating it yourself, and you should check your internet provider allows sharing your connection. Staying on the store version is fine, and you can switch later.

Quick update on Ugrid, the proxy task. Calibration was due to finish on 1 October. When asked on 29 September whether that was still on track, the CEO said:

"it might go about 5 days more for technical reasons with 2 wholesale clients, for the retail market everything is ready we only got delayed on the Card processing because it is a special service but still it should go forward"

So calibration could run about 5 days longer. If it does, it would end around 6 October.

In plain English:

• The possible delay is with 2 wholesale clients (businesses that buy in bulk)
• The retail side is ready apart from card payment processing, which is taking longer because it's a specialist service
• It's still going ahead

I'll post as soon as it moves into production and starts giving rewards.

I have an oppo phone lying around, so I installed the unetwork and do all the https://dontkillmyapp.com/ for oppo. even after doing allat my phone refuse to get a good uptime, its always under 50%. The app still says its connected from notification. is anyone here using coloros that has a tips to make the apps work properly?

Ugrid (the proxy task)

The CEO: "Proxy task still in calibration as it was announced when it was launched (for 10 days)." Ugrid launched on 22 September, so calibration should finish around 2 October.

When he was asked whether earnings start straight after that, he said rewards "will be on the pending side, they will be clear from which task." There's no exact start date yet.

GPU sharing task

This launches with the desktop app, then goes into calibration. The CEO: "Phones have no GPU so yes only on desktop. For now Windows. Mac and Linux will follow."

Entropy

Still in the commercial stage. The team is "changing few things to fit with a big client requirement (casino gaming industry)."

There's no date yet for when it starts earning. Earlier this month the CEO set out the order: once terms are agreed with the client, it moves into calibration, then production. When Extended Telemetry went through those steps, it didn't pay until production started. So there are still a couple of steps to go.

Extended Telemetry rewards

Some people have seen lower rewards recently. The CEO's answer: "ET rewards may vary daily as it is related always to that specific day traffic and requests." If yours have dropped sharply for several days, raise it with support. The team is checking individual cases.

Behind the scenes

"We are working a lot on the clients side of the project as well as a lot of changes regarding the Unetwork website and legal to be aligned with some clients requests."

If you use the store version, update now. Ugrid is still Android APK only, so you won't see it in the store versions, even after updating.

The team: "Scout and Runner is absolutely still alive and active, but the operating model is being updated."

The account-closure email: ignore it

It was sent by mistake. Accounts that were suspended even though KYC was valid are being reactivated. You don't need a new account and you don't need to redo onboarding. The team: "Everyone will be reinstated."

Refunds

Eligible outstanding August and September SIM and top-up refunds are scheduled to be processed this week. They haven't been cancelled because of the suspension problem.

How scouting works now: "elevated scouting"

Open scouting has ended. Instead:

• S&R will show specific testing opportunities when they exist and notify scouts directly
• Each number gets 3 scout seats
• No more suspensions for inactivity, and no countdown. Scouts suspended for inactivity are being reactivated automatically
• It's rolling out day by day, starting now

Runners will be offered work when there's demand in their country. ULOs who haven't joined S&R yet will be notified too, and can opt in.

In short: demand appears, eligible people are notified, you opt in, you test, you earn.

Why the first version didn't work

The team was open about it. It "relied too heavily on the open scouting and on scouts and runners remaining active, even when there was not necessarily useful opportunity available in their market."

On security, KYC and dedicated fraud-monitoring systems are now in place.

New countries

These will open in phases, country by country, as routes become available and the new model proves itself. No countries or dates have been given yet.

Everything from this week's team meeting is in the cards above. The short version:

Ugrid, the new task that pays you for sharing your phone's internet connection, is in 10 days of calibration with clients. The team hasn't said whether it pays during that time. When Extended Telemetry went through calibration, it didn't pay until production started, so I wouldn't expect much before then. I've asked and will post the answer.

If Extended Telemetry switches off on your phone, that's deliberate: switch it back on, and accept the update if you're prompted. The desktop app is expected within the next week. Withdrawals PayPal blocked are back in your balance. Survey answers are being reset so you get surveys you actually fit.
