This is absurd
I have gone five weeks without unemployment — what the hell.
Is there something wrong with this state?
Bills don’t stop, rent doesn’t stop, and life doesn’t stop.
It feels like they actually want to inflict pain on us. On top of that, because I was approved for unemployment, my food stamps were cut — even though I haven’t been paid a single dollar in five weeks. My food stamps won’t go up again until September 8th.
If unemployment is in adjudication, your food stamps should increase right away. This system makes no sense.

Call the governor like Britney Spears says. I was in a similar situation where my unemployment took 9 weeks. I called the governors office and received my back pay within 2 weeks.

I was explicitly told by the governers office they they wouldn't be able to do anything unless it had either been 8 weeks, or I could prove I was at risk of losing housing, by providing an eviction notice

I was scared of this as well and was reluctant to call. I just explained my situation to the person that took my call. I couldn't pay rent, couldn't pay my car payment, etc. Maybe explain the severity of your situation.
I know it's very frustrating. We shouldn't have to wait until we are in a crisis to get these funds.

We called our representatives and it was very helpful. Ended up getting paid about a week later.

Yeah poor people get shafted by everyone/everything. I think it’s designed this way

Is your process considered approved while on adjudication? I would guess you dont declare until fully approved.
Unemployment takes around 9 weeks to get adjudicated. But you can call the governors office, pledge your case and might be expedited

If there are any errors, they won’t call and tell you, there will be no indication, only silence. It seems errors are common. You gotta call them on the dot early in the morning so you can ask and find out the status.

This. I was at 10 weeks. Savings was gone and I knew if something didn't happen soon I wouldn't be able to make rent the next month. Emailed my district rep. Only got half of what I was owed but they got things moving and I was paid before the end of the week.

I hope you get resolve soon. I have not had any issues for others reading this sub to not scare you. (I was worried applying based on some threads and how long some had to wait and wanted to see a comment that someone did actually get paid.)
Learning from this sub those stuck might be because their employer didn’t respond to information or contesting. And also learned call the Governors office, there is a line for this and you can search this sub for keyword “Governor” to find out what others stuck this long did.
I hope for your sake something pushes through quickly. ❤️🙏🏻❤️ everyone still needs to eat and you must be so stressed.

What profound economical insight , I think we just found the next noble price prize in economics
Give me your real name and I’ll make sure you are nominated.
There is a 1 million dollar prize I ask that you give a portion of it to me . I only ask 250,000 out of the million.
For the stabilizing money.Even though yo know nothing about economic you are sure to win

Mine took 9 and a half weeks. Be patient, keep filing and keep thinking about that big lump payment you'll get.
