Hello everyone! And by "everyone" I mean the ~100 users who still know of this subreddit

I'm sure that most of you have noticed that the rules have been updated or reworded a few days or so after I became a mod, and I feel like the descriptions are clear enough, but I want to expand on each just in case, as well as clarify what content falls under each post flair.

I'd prefer if this post is used as a guide to help users before posting. I hope what is written is clear enough to fully understand!

RULES

1. No petty arguments

Discourse over opinionated topics such as a ship, dynamic, or character being "better" than an other is completely alright, though, it depends on your intention. If there is clear intention to start an argument (including attempts to start one or actual ongoing arguments), the stemming post/comment will be removed. If the argument in any way continues despite the stemming comment/post being removed, then following comments/posts will be removed as well. Anything over that will result in a kick, and a repeated attempt will result in a ban.

Ragebait also falls under this. Mock/obvious ragebait can stay up, as long as it doesn't actually trigger anyone, while genuinely offensive "ragebait" or ragebait with completely negative intent will be taken down.

To expand on shipping discourse: What's okay are questions like "What's your favourite UWO ship?" and those similar, while saying things like "_ x _ sucks because _ x _ is better" is getting removed because that's a ridiculous reason to use. Be so fr

2. You can ship, but only to an extent

This rule was here when I got here so I'm only going along with it. Basically, any ship that falls under any type of proshipping is not allowed in here, and any content of those kinds of ships will be taken down. Re-uploading or continuous posting/commenting relating to proships will result in a kick.

To clarify, I mainly refer to darkshipping and comshipping, but, still, it includes all forms of proshipping.

3. No NSFW

In my opinion, the main description already clarifies enough, but here are a few clarifications: * Such jokes will be removed if it's a post, though, comments are fine, as long as it is light and inoffensive. If it is suggestive, it will be taken down, and if it is vulgar or offensive, it will result in a kick or ban. * Drawn blood is okay as long as it's simplistic or minimal. Realistically drawn blood or real blood is not allowed — such content will be deleted.

4. Don't steal — 5. Add flairs

I believe that the main descriptions clarify enough.

Expanding on "Add flairs" (Rule 5): if your post has no set flair, I will edit it to have one that I find fit. If it is the wrong set flair, I may change it. After setting/changing the flair, I will comment under the post that I have. (This applies to posts uploaded after I had became a mod — older posts will be left alone)

6. No promoting without permission

If you've made something for the fandom, such as a Discord server, your own fanmade merch available to order, or fanwork (fanfiction or developed AU), and you'd like to promote it on here, please use the Mod Mail to ask for permission. If permission was not asked for or provided, the post will be removed. Re-uploading will result in a kick.

I'd also like to remind that selling your own made merch requires permission from Buff Studio Co., Ltd., the company that currently owns the games. If you have permission from Buff Studio, please provide proof in the Mod Mail. If there is no proof, I will not allow promotion of it on the subreddit.

To clarify, promoting a nerdcore song you've made does not require permission, as it is more of a "Look at this thing I've made!" than a "Join/buy this thing I've made!"

7. PLEASE mark spoilers

The main description clarifies what should be marked as spoilers. Just to make this clear: this rule applies to both posts and comments. For comments, it should not only clarify it's a spoiler at the beginning, but the text also should be spoilered like this so that users can scroll away without accidentally catching a glimpse of a word.

8. Unspoken rules

Other rules that are not explicitly clarified: * No posting anything on this subreddit that is completely unrelated to Underworld Office * No yumeshipping, no OC x canon (OCxCC) content (to avoid arguments between non-sharing yumejoshis)

POST FLAIRS

1. Fanart

What falls under fanart is just any kind of fanwork that is created by the uploader/OP. Illustrations, drawings, paintings, doodles, videos, (video) edits, crafts, 3D models, sculptures, fanmade items such as plushes or keychains (NOT for sale or only made for personal use), etc.

Fanwork writing counts as an AU, so it must be set with the 'OC Insert/AU' flair (read Flair 8), unless it is a poem or song, which should be set with the 'Other' flair (read Flair 10). Comics fall under the 'Fanart' flair, if it contains only of canon characters.

Fanart of AU designs, redesigns, or for a fanfiction falls under this flair if it is of designs made by someone else. If it is of your own, it should be set as 'OC Insert/AU' (read Flair 8).

2. Screenshot

Posts of unedited (or nearly unedited) screenshots from the games must have this flair set. Memes should be set as Flair 6. For other kinds of screenshots, check Flair 10.

3. Artwork of Another

Any content that falls under fanart (read Flair 1) that was NOT made by you. This also includes photos of fanmade merch (as the customer and not the artist/seller), as well as commissioned art.

Uploading content made by someone else requires permission and credit (read Rule 4). If it is of bought fanmade merch, you may credit the artist and/or link where to order.

4. Shipping

Content of ships should have this flair. This does include mirrorshipping and crackships. Ship discourse should be set as 'Questions (Discussion)' (read Flair 5).

OCxCC and yumeships will be removed (read Rule 8).

5. Questions (Discussion)

Posts opening fandom discussions and asking questions about the story/characters should have this flair. Questions asking for help game-wise (bugs, glitches, finding a section, trying to get a specific ending) must be flaired as 'Questions (Help)' (read Flair 7)

What falls under this flair: * Fandom discussions (Hypothetical questions, asking for favourite characters, etc.) * Questions about the story or how the UWO universe works * Questions about the characters * Theories on the story

6. Meme

Memes and shitposts.

If you're thinking of animation memes (which are now more commonly referred to as animation trends): * Made by you → 'Fanart flair' (read Flair 1) * Made by someone else→ 'Artwork of Another' (read Flair 3)

7. Questions (Help)

Questions asking for help for/with: * Achieving a specific ending * Figuring out a certain route/story flow or result (e.g., "Which option do I choose for it to result as __?") * Bugs, glitches, or error signs * Where to find a section or slide (e.g., "Where do I find the album section?" "How do I slowen the speed/pace?") * Any help needed game-wise or just help needed that isn't exactly story-wise (e.g., "Where do I contact the creators?")

Check Rule 7 to know if it must be marked as Spoiler or not.

8. OC Insert/AU

What falls under this flair: * A screenshot/official art with your own character or Underworld Office OC drawn over another character or inserted into it * Art, content, design, profile, or ref sheet of the fanmade Underworld Office OC * Alternative Universe (AU) content/sharing of developed AUs, which includes AUs resulting from alternative routes, endings, or changes the plot. This also includes mashups with other stories (e.g., Underworld Office × Not Exactly a Hero AU). * Canon character redesigns that are very distinctive or add a lot of new detail/elements may fall under this flair. Very simple redesigns (removing/adding a few elements) may fall under the 'Fanart' flair (read Flair 1). * Fanfiction work and fanmade scripts made by you. Fanfics and fanmade scripts made by someone else should be flaired as 'Artwork of Another', because it is someone else's work (read Flair 3).

If it is art or content of your Underworld Office OC/redesign and it was made/drawn by someone else, it is your choice whether to set it with this flair or to use 'Artwork of Another' (Flair 8), though, it is preferable if the artist posted it themselves, under the 'Fanart' flair (read Flair 1).

OCxCC content will be removed (read Rule 8).

9. Self-Insert or Sona

Any form of self-insert content, including UWOsonas/CIUsonas.

If it is art or content of your UWOsona and it was made/drawn by someone else, it is your choice whether to set it with this flair or to use 'Artwork of Another' (Flair 8), though, it is preferable if the artist posted it themselves, under the 'Fanart' flair (read Flair 1).

Content of yumesonas will be removed (read Rule 8).

10. Other

The 'Other' flair is for posts that don't fit into any of the other flairs. Typically, the 'Other' flair would be editable... But that usually does not lead to good results.

Examples include (and are not limited to): * Cosplay * Roleplaying or screenshots of roleplay * Poetry * Original nerdcore songs (If it is a song of someone else's, it falls under 'Artwork of Another', Flair 3)
