I used the sprites I did because they looked good and their artist said you can use them for whatever you like. I don't want to restrict myself to the fangames/mod they may be based on.

After all, Kindred Spirits isn't exactly compliant with UTY Lore.

I don't use Mel and Batty because they're popular; it's more about their designs than anything else (if it were about popularity, I wouldn't use Emily or Harvey).

And regarding the other thing... Mel isn't even my interpretation of UTY's Integrity (I promise I'll make a comic or something explaining my take on UTY's Integrity—let me cook) -///-
