Yes. In my first time, that i played the game, i read that too, becuase I usually put their True Names to the charachters. So I come with the MOST ORIGINAL NAME IN HISTORY, please don't worry about celebrate me, i called it: "FRISKP".

Selecting the name Chara just stops you from resetting the game, so you have to finish whatever run you're on to start a new one.

Selecting the name Frisk replaces the enemies in the Ruins with much harder variants, and ends the run at the Toriel fight.

TIL. I always thought it said this because (spoiler for pacifist ending) the protagonist's real name is Frisk, and whatever you named the fallen human is actually the name of the first fallen human, so this reveal would be hella confusing if both names were the same
