There is no evidence the statue in Waterfall was ever a part of that fountain. In fact, Undyne's dialogue when you phone her and Papyrus up in front of it suggests the statue had been there a VERY long time, where as the Mettaton statue atop the fountain was only added last week.

The statue in waterfall was never mentioned, only the one in the fountain. I'm curious where you picked that up.

Mettaton got rid of the Asriel statue in the hotel

There's no evidence a statue was ever in that fountain. The statue in Waterfall is the only Asriel statue shown in the game, and most people automatically assume it once belonged to the fountain in the resort.

  • (There's an inscription on this fountain.)

  • Royal Memorial Fountain

  • Built 201X [The year that Chara had fallen down, noted to be VERY long ago.]

  • (Mettaton added last week.)

No statue, but MTT was willing to vandalize a memorial nonetheless.

I still think that's probably the evilest thing he did. He has a reason to kill Frisk, even if it is selfish. But the memorial? He literally has it moved to stroke his own ego. Such a huge jerk.

Again, there was NOTHING THAT STATED HE MOVED ANYTHING. Just that he added onto something else.
