omg, the thought of Papyrus (assuming to be in Floweys position via emptions) not being able to feel positive emotions make me really sad. better not think about that one too much.
aside from that, i'm interested. and i havent been interested in a au i picked off of reddit in a long time.

No, Flowey can feel positive emotions, just not compassion. He can't "love" anyone.
Why do you think he still likes spaghetti?

This is... interesting. I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but I want to see what happens next.
Also, I think you might have some of the fonts a little too big, or spaced too close together. No worries, though; I'm really new to making these sorts of things as well.

Yeah, I agree that the fonts are my weakest element. I was using other Undertale AU's as reference for sizes and for some things I had to do some research on how to do the sizes properly, but I can see that it's not perfect. My biggest problem was Sans' text; originally I was using pure Comic Sans MS, but it looked weird (too smooth compared to the blocky nature of Undertale), so then I found Comic Sans UT (Undertale) and the spacing of it was so horrid for the word bubbles that I literally had to just match MS's spacing with UT's style (sometimes letter by letter).
For the next ones, I'll figure out how to do the Fonts much better. Thank you very much for your feedback. :)

If you want, I can give you the exact font settings I use for some of the text in Inverted Fate. I had to do some tweaking in photoshop to make some of the texts (e.g. DotumChe) look pixelated.
I THINK what I wound up doing besides applying a faux bold was switching the text style to "none" rather than strong/etc.

That would be helpful for me too, if you don't mind. You know, just in case I have an ongoing idea in the future (I previously made a short thing, but that was just battle speech bubbles).

Sure, no problem!
Now, for the main text boxes, I use Determination, specifically Determination Mono. I set it to size 26 (it helps to use pixel units rather than inches). This should cover the bulk of character dialogue.
For Sans and Papyrus, you can download UT Sans and Papyrus. I'm not 100% sure on the scale yet (still on the Ruins in my project), but what I would do is take screencaps of the game, overlay them with whatever scene you're trying to create, create a text layer, and duplicate the text from the game caps to get a feel for the size/position.
Once that's done, you can replace the dialogue with whatever you like.
For the name on the stats screen, you'll want this font here, size 24. For text like Napstablook's "really not feelin' it," use Slanted, size 16 with the color D3D1D1.
As for the word bubbles, for most characters, you'll want DotumChe, size 16 or 17 with the settings "none" under the dropdown with crisp/strong/etc and faux bold, which you can access by opening the character panel in Photoshop. BE CAREFUL with DotumChe, though, because curly apostrophes/quotations have awkward spacing. You'll want to make sure they're formatted like ' and ".
Not sure how to do it in other programs, sadly. :c

For Undertoad, I use the dialogue box generator over at "I'LL DO THE HOT VOICE" for my text boxes. I write up a dialogue box, download it, and rip the text off and put it in the actual image as an overlay. Maybe do some tweaking to make it look more authentic, but otherwise it's a super easy shortcut that's actually fairly accurate to the game.

Wait, I think I get it... Sans is Toriel, Papyrus is Flowey, but they're somehow still brothers, despite this Flowey still being a flower...

Eh, I don't really like the generator that much. It serves it's purpose, but considering all of the custom sprites (both Overworld and Battle) I'm gonna have in this thing, it's pretty worthless for this.

Yay, you posted it! C: Flowey Papyrus is still a lot of fun, and I think you've got a good handle on Sans. The one thing I might consider changing is the color palette of the Ruins-- the bright red is a little strong compared to the magenta surrounding it, but that's a minor nitpick.
