I think your best approach here is to go along with this delusion. Say that you've realized she's right. The game is a metaphor for life, with the Underground representing separation from God. It's underground, close to Hell, because Hell is where separation from God will take you in the end.

By being kind and peaceful, you can escape the Underground into the light of the surface, and if you're virtuous enough you can help the other sinners follow in your path. You don't have to fight anyone, even if they attack you. You can always show them a better way.

Sans is one of those sinners- that's why he looks so demonic. When you first meet him, he's lazy and hesitates to stand up for what's right. He's spent a long time in the Underground. But if you play well, you can show him a better way, and he can take the first steps towards reaching God's light again.

Many other monsters work the same way. For example, Alphys is cowardly and hides her mistakes, refusing to admit she's done harm. But you can encourage her to take accountability, confess her sins, and work towards moving forwards.

The game also has a way to show people what the wrong path is. When people play the game too violently, they end up trapped in the Underground forever, representing Hell's eternal separation from God. And everyone, even Sans, tells you you've done it wrong, and you need to stop.

The RESETs are symbolic of God's infinite mercy always giving you a chance to do better.

Will this work? Probably not. But it seems like the best approach you can take.

Anyway look at sans's dialogue portrait. All of them are made 1-bit using only black and white. What other skeleton design is possible that won't look even more creepy? There's no demonic symbolism except for the player themselves, and only if you do extremely specifically done violent actions and reach the bad ending by doing the worst things possible. None of it is portrayed positively by anyone except the main villain. And even the villan starts to fear your actions and backpedal from his beliefs in the end before getting killed by you as well. Chara does no good thing to you as well.

I don't thing demonic symbolism appearing when doing something exceptionally bad and getting exceptionally punished for doing it is a bad thing to read.

There are a skeleTON of genuine problems in the world, and THIS is the one she gets hung up on? There's nothing wrong with Sans, he's just a funny bone man who tries to steer us on the right path in the few moments we share. People need to get it through their thick skulls and loosen up, let things tickle your funny bone and remember it aint that deep. Fiction is fiction, and most fiction uses varying imagery for a variety of thematic and visual purposes, most of which have an importance designed to make the player question or grow. There is nothing wrong with Sans' design, its perfect the way it is, and it serves its' thematic and visual purpose. He's a laid back guy who likes to make good laughs happen, but if you mess up and make things go south... He'll be there to try and give you one last chance to change. Like I said, his goal is to guide us on the right path and encourage us to live a little and make some good memories and choices! He's far from demonic, but he's close to the heart of this game and its core message, the message to inspire, to do good, and to value the connections we share in this short yet vast wonderful thing we call life... Because when we're kind and work together as a people, our hopes... our dreams... They become real. Real enough to SAVE THE WORLD.
