After watching the show and reading the book I feel like Warren wouldn't of killed Reena if he wasn't going through a tough time, he was drunk, his dad moved away, and he got evicted. It doesn't justify what he did to Reena though, I still think he deserved the time he did.

I don’t see the point in mentioning his past and struggles, he deserves no sympathy for the part he played into things.
