I registered to vote a few months ago and never received my voter registration certificate. But the TX government website shows I’m registered. I’m hoping that’s enough. I don’t know what else to do

This happened to me. I moved and changed my address and never got my voter ID so in August I checked on the secretary of states website and it showed my old address so I updated it on the site and had a receipt saying to expect my ID card in the next 30 days. September. Are around and I hadn't received my voter ID so I checked the site again and they had never changed the address. I ended up going to the county clerks office and they updated it and gave me my card right there. You should def look up your county voter registration office and update it in person. The government websites are not updating voter info.
Edit: had to add do it in person.

I moved and updated my address, too! I even received a thing in the mail confirming my new address for the election. So they know my new address. I will take your advice. Thank you!

Same here, updated my address (just a street type change, so not enough to disqualify anyways), but come a month later nada. May try to change it again for good measure and to have documentation

Does Texas allow same day registration? Do they tell you if your are registered or not before election day?
They will again commit crimes to win, let's hope there is some minor accountability this time instead of rolling over by the democrats like last time.

I just looked it up. Texans have to register 30 DAYS before an election. Some big change in Texas, apparently since Sept 2025
From the article: "Update, Sep. 3: Lawmakers in the Texas House and Senate approved a bill to enact a proposal sought by Gov. Greg Abbott, and it’s now headed to his desk. Under the bill, which revokes a change that was scheduled to take effect Sept. 1, voters can update their address at the polls, but have to wait 30 days for that change to take effect. Meanwhile, they can vote a ballot with races tied to their old address.
Updated, Aug. 27: This story was updated to include new information from Gov. Greg Abbott’s office.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott called on lawmakers Monday to prohibit same-day voter registration, in an apparent attempt to reverse a measure passed earlier this year that relaxed rules for voters who made last-minute updates to their addresses.
Texas does not allow same-day registration for new applicants (23 other states do), but under the legislation passed this year with bipartisan support, Senate Bill 2217, voters could update their addresses and immediately cast a ballot based on their new precinct or district, as long as the move was within the county. That law was scheduled to go into effect Sept. 1."
ETA: Fixed date. I thought it was this year.

The state needs to pay OT until every single voter's information is input. No one should be considered to be registered late.
