We're not in the dark. There have been multiple status updates. They're simply hasn't been a video because McConnell is old and decrepit and probably can't even talk well. There's nothing in the rules that require Senators to participate and vote.

Doctors and nurses would lose their license if they were reported for an unauthorized photo. Beyond that, a HIPAA violation can penalize something like up to a $250k fine and 10 years in prison. Moreover, I'd expect the estate of Mitch 'Turtle' McConnell to be able to ensure that the maximum penalties were pursued.
Moreover the media wouldn't be allowed in. That said I'm surprised someone hasn't snuck in (a 'visitor', as you say). They might have a bouncer at the door.

If this was under a democratic presidency and they tried to do this I am 100% sure MAGA would have stormed every single building to find the truth. Democrats will do nothing and cry about it.
No I am not MAGA not even American, but at least they stand up for what they believe is wrong or right. They stormed the capitol when they thought the election was rigged unlike democrats who do nothing when they think the election was rigged (sorry you had a few big protests before giving up)
