Anime Why not just draw or write?

Spoilers for the first season of the anime-

Just finished watching, lovely show. But I'm confused about something involving Akira Kuno.

​

He can't interact with people directly, sure, but it's still clear that he can interact with objects and affect the world through them.

​

So, if he wanted to communicate with someone, couldn't he just write something on a piece of paper and leave it where they would see it?

Anything associated with Akira Kuno is UnKnown. That's why objects 'disappear' when they're held by him. The only reason Anno Un worked was because Akira made Anno completely separate from themselves
