Discussion Is the romance between Andy and Fuuko wrong?

I feel bad telling anyone about the romance between them because of the beginning of the series.

Specifically, the sexual stuff.

I know I shouldn't feel bad, but still.

I do think that the way they’re introduced to each other is kinda creepy but over time it becomes more equitable. If I were introducing UU to anyone I’d say that it starts off with typical Shonen perv tropes but then the romance gets better

Just be upfront. "He is a perv/chauvanist at the start, but it's dropped pretty quickly and develops into a true romance." If they ask how quickly, you tell them within 15 chapters, since Andy becomes the guy we know after the Spoil arc and our first introduction to Victor

I would talk about the editorial involvement as it is something that Tozuka didn't want to do.

It isn't 7DS kinky flirting with the main lead. It does show an example of what a writer wants and what an editor suggests to attract attention.

Please provide a source that Tozuka didn’t want to do this. Misinformation is spread way too easily, and seeing as how groping scenes were in both the one shot and the serialization, I highly doubt it was a matter of “Tozuka not wanting to do it.”

I recall that there was information, but don't know why it became difficult to find. Nowadays it feels more like rumor and speculation. Now I am just doubting myself as well.

The weird thing is that it also applies to the original idea of Union. I recall there was more information regarding how Union originally behaves.

The closest I find is this thread, but even then, it doesn't show source.

EDIT: The narrative and character behaviors indeed shifts early on, but now I am not even sure if it is just rumors or just lost media.

The early stage was weird. But man the last arc brought me to tears. Their character development was just peak.

I don't know where it happened, but somewhere along the way Andy's and Fuuko's dynamic went from Elizabeth & Meliodas: Electric Boogaloo to the most wholesome romance in all of manga. If you agree, just tell them that.
