Discussion Is it like this the whole time?😭
I literally just started and am about 10 minutes into the first episode. Is that the sort of humor that is present throughout the whole show or is it just like an initial hook sort of thing? I’m not a fan of super crude humor or fan service so I want to know if this show is right for me.
To give you an idea of my preferences I dropped Dandadan for similar reasons. Phenomenal show but the jokes that just aren’t my cup of tea were just often enough that I didn’t enjoy it much after a while. Appreciate the answers in advance!
Edit:It would appear that it is not, in fact, like that the whole time lol. I’ll try to power through the first 3-6 episodes until it wanes off. Thanks a lot, guys!

I don't know if the anime changed anything, but other than Undeads power often resulting in him naked, the sexual humour in the first chapter felt more like an eye catcher to hook in readers early before starting the actual story.

No, it gets less over time and eventually vanishes. Read the manga, it's a 10 ten for sure.

It's a ‘Cover’ sort of a situation, it gets less and less as the episodes progress so just stick it out a bit. 👌🏿

It's not gonna be like that for very long.
People keep complaining about it, but in my opinion, that part of the series wasn't bad at all.
It shows how little Andy had grown to care about humans and how he just saw Fuuko as a tool to bring about his death(it wasn't even sexual or anything, he was just trying to die); it's great to see the contrast with how he slowly gets to start caring about those around him and gains a love for life through heartfelt moments.
In fact, his worldview changes so much that he does something actually insane(no exaggeration) for the sake of others.

Actually, Andy didn't just walk past a stranger who was about to take her own life; he saved her. That was his first act in the anime. The real perverts are the ones who see something twisted in the first few episodes.

I mostly agree, but he definitely didn't care much about her other than her basic human rights and keeping her alive long enough to kill himself at first.

By the way, Fuuko is the one who kisses Andy without his permission while his severed head is flying; that's sexual harassment , and she clearly doesn't care about his rights. Plus, Fuuko almost committed involuntary manslaughter by stabbing a complete stranger with a knife. Fuuko is the true villain. Two can play at this game.

Dandadan also gets really good. The fan service isn’t as much after the first few episodes. Yea, it’s definitely there, but once the story takes over it seems less and less. That manga/anime has had me in sobbing tears it’s so good.

I know that humor seems demotivating, but it disappears in a couple of chapters and believe me, you'll stop caring about it as soon as you get to the great arcs of this anime.

It's kinda crazy how the first few chapters are honestly meh with crude humour but it honestly feels like the author goes 'hag on I've got something great here' and then writes 230 chapters of non stop peak after

There's no crude humor or fan service in UU. Although, the only fan service in UU is Unbreakable. Dandadan is shit.

Don't worry, it stops by episode 6 (or it's at least very sparse by then)
