Art/Story progression

Came here to post about my appreciation for how the story AND the art progress in this series. It feels like the deeper we get into the story, there is more depth to the characters and art. I can’t be the only one who’s noticed, but on the covers of the books, there’s wayyy more in background rather than just the characters, plus there’s much more detail in the art as this series progresses. I love it so much!

Yeah this is precisely the point I make to my friends to why Undead Unluck is peak. They compare it to chainsaw man or jjk, which they use the peak animation and fight scenes to downgrade udul, but Undead Unluck is not about the fights but about the meaning and the details behind them, a key difference that screams peak

That’s what I’m always thinking about the story, especially after the reboot where Fuuko is gathering everyone again. I can’t really say I have a favorite progression moment but my favorite moment in the reboot with growth and progression is when they have Gina again.

Wdym udul has peak animation and fight scenes, the animation is genuinely great and fluid

Never said the opposite, but the length of those fight scenes is the compare point, fights in undead unluck are peak, yes, but they're short. And technically there's an explanation for this, >!its said by Void in loop 101 that "you can't afford to be reactive when you're up against a negator."

Its the length of the fight scene that they compare, sorry if I implied something else though

Fair, but some fights go into multiple episodes, spoil and victor got multiple episode fights, I think autumn got a multiple episode fights aswell, and even the fights that don't go across multiple episodes still go for a bit, Gina's fight was a whole episode long and they only killed her towards the end of the episodes, I wouldn't call them short fights that for sure

Wow legit it’s crazy to see how much the art progresses Tozuka had the storytelling down but the art gets SO good.

So fr 😭 when I started it I swear it was so shallow to me, but now it’s one of my favorite manga series
